the hub – your community action centre needs you!

Volunteers are a valued part of the hub team.  We work with our volunteers to ensure they have a role they enjoy and we offer training, support and travel expenses to make volunteering accessible to everyone. the hub has achieved the INVESTING IN VOLUNTEERS AWARD quality kite mark, so you can expect best practice from us as an organisation that supports volunteers and volunteering.

the hub
is a base for several organisations, so volunteer opportunities are varied and interesting and you're sure to find something you would enjoy doing.
We work with you to agree what role you would like, how many hours you would like to commit and to start you off with an agreed volunteer plan which we will review with you periodically.

Volunteer roles on offer include: admin assistant, data input assistant, receptionist, marketing and promotion assistant, social media editor, website editor, e-bulletin editor, social policy researcher, community projects assistant, one-to-one supported computer drop-ins assistant; and many more!

Taking on a regular volunteering role with us will:

  •       help you learn new skills
  • provide you with updates for your C.V.
  • assist you with your study or course work
  • help you meet new people and make new friends
  • make a positive difference to the lives of others
  • help your local community
  • be fun!
